This is a new logo for myself. I have one for my DJ side, yet feel like I should have a different one for my design side. So, I am drawing upon inspiration from Behance and Dribble and have come up with this very rough sketch. I am going to be updating this project as I move forward from sketch and scan to ink and computer illustration.

Step 1 - Original Sketch
As you can see I did not leave myself appropriate room for the full typography. I may still at the words "Art & Design" to this, but not real sure just yet.
Step 2 - Scanned & Transfer
I skipped the ink phase that I said I was going to do and went directly into working on the design with Illustrator.
Step 3 - Vectorize
So, I took my original sketh and traced it with Adobe Illustrator. I didn't "Live Trace" it. I went through with the pen tool and outlined each part of my logo. Also, moved the "er" up to where they are supposed to be at the end of "Alexander". I'll be sure to give myself plenty of room in the sketch area.
